On September 13, 2025, a seminar titled “AI Empowering New Developments in the Livestock Industry”was held at Sinboda Biotechnology (Zhejiang) Co., Ltd. More than 20 experts and scholars from renowned universities and research institutions, including Nanjing Agricultural University, Agricultural Genomics Institute at Shenzhen (Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences), Huazhong Agricultural University, Qingdao Agricultural University, Henan Agricultural University, Tianjin Agricultural University, Shangqiu Normal University, and Yangzhou University, attended the seminar to explore pathways for deeper integration between AI and the livestock industry, as well as its potential applications.
In the afternoon session, accompanied by Sinboda's CEO Dr. Xiaohua Chen and CTO Dr. Bing Li, the guests visited the company's exhibition hall and laboratories. From the company's founding vision and core team formation, to the establishment and iteration of key technology platforms and the gradual refinement of the product matrix, they gained a comprehensive understanding of Sinboda's technological accumulation and development achievements.

In the laboratory, engineers demonstrated the live operation of Sinboda's independently developed ScimaX AI (AI-Controlled Single Cell In-suit Manipulator) for in-situ injection of HeLa adherent cells and fully automated cytoplasmic injection of mouse oocytes, drawing widespread attention from the attending experts. The system integrates multi-modal high-end optics, AI vision and motion planning, dual-arm collaborative manipulators, and precision temperature control, enabling cell-level injection/dissociation/extraction/analysis/sorting. It transitions micromanipulation from "experience-based" to "data- and algorithm-driven," providing automated and intelligent solutions for next-generation micromanipulation technology. Several guests experienced the system firsthand and praised its automated and intelligent operation, noting that the equipment is easy and efficient to use, significantly reduces the complexity of micromanipulation, effectively minimizes reliance on manual operation, and provides reliable technical support for embryo engineering research and breeding.

In the subsequent special symposium, Dr. Xiaohua Chen, CEO of Sinboda, first gave an overview of the company's founding background, development history, product matrix, and the deployment of its products across various application scenarios including research, healthcare, and livestock. She showcased Sinboda's development philosophy and practical achievements in reshaping life sciences with "AI for Life."
Following that, Dr. Kunming Zhang, Marketing Director, focused on the ScimaX AI system, sharing the product's core technological advantages, functional features, and application fields. Through comparative analysis with similar products in the industry, he highlighted the system's strengths in operational precision, automation, and stability. Combined with case studies from ongoing clinical and research collaborative projects, he presented the system's core competitiveness in cell-level injection, dissociation, sorting, and extraction.
Finally, Application Engineer Zhong Yuan, addressing the current pain points in the livestock industry regarding breed improvement and breeding of superior varieties, delivered a special presentation titled "AI-Assisted Rapid Breeding Technology for Superior Cattle." He systematically introduced the development background of rapid breeding technology for superior cattle (OPU-IVP), analyzed in depth the application scenarios of AI technology in key steps of in vitro embryo production—including ovum pick-up, in vitro embryo production, and embryo transfer—and envisioned future directions toward large-scale and precision upgrades.

After the presentations, the seminar discussion session was lively and productive. The attending experts and scholars proposed potential future collaboration directions based on their respective research fields, and highly praised the performance of Sinboda's ScimaX system in livestock gene editing and embryo engineering applications.
The successful conclusion of this thematic seminar on "AI Empowering New Developments in the Livestock Industry" established an efficient platform for technical exchange and collaboration, promoting the practical discussion of AI technology deployment in livestock breeding, reproduction, and testing.
